New Exxaro contract awarded to MAC

Operations mainly take place at the Exxaro Inyanda coal mine near Witbank in Mpumalanga. MACís involvement with the Inyanda mine can be divided into two phases:

    Phase 1
  • Loading of tipper trucks by way of front-end loaders (FEL) with run of mine coal (ROM).
  • Transportation of 150 000 tons of ROM per month from Inyanda to the New Clydesdale colliery mine for processing and export purposes.

  • Phase 2
  • Loading of tipper trucks by way of front-end loaders (FEL) with washed coal.
  • Transportation of washed coal from Inyanda to Blackhill Siding consisting of 100 000 tons of A-grade steam coal and 20 000 tons of sized coal per month repectively.

MAC also provides front-end loaders at Blackhill Siding in order to fill jumbo wagon trains with 80 tons of coal within a 4 hour period.
